El Ranchero in Marietta

Been going here for years. It's comfortable Mexican. Nothing really special except you can tell the family that runs the place must love it. Their food is decent and margaritas on Wednesdays is very worthwhile. They even take care of the cats outside which made my kid happy. Good place - good people. Oh, and the shrimp cocktail is really good, but that can be said about most places.

Mexican food can sometimes be hard to find with a lot of the popular Mexican restaurants being busy. But El Ranchero succeeds in being easy to eat at and delivering good food. I ordered a plate with one burrito and one enchilada with a side of rice and beans and enjoyed it just as much as I would at most other Mexican restaurants. I would recommend this place for anyone in the area looking for Mexican food though it may not be something worth driving too far for.

Better to eat there, than do take out.

First time and loved it. The food is excellent and our group didn't leave a speck of food on our plates. The cook definitely knows what he is doing. Service was quick even with only one waiter at the time. Will definitely go back.

I have visited this restaurant several times over the last few years. Great prices, really nice servers! I went on Saturday, March 7 for the first time in a year, and had food poisoning while I was there. Not a lovely experience at all. Be cautious!

Manager was nice, the staff was super slow and the food was a little bland and greasy.

It’s a whole in the wall Mexican spot. If you want cheap food with decent taste, this is the right place for you. Everything we had was decent. Nothing was bad. Overall okay to decent quality food. Maybe a spot to get quick food and drink.

Staff here are very nice. prices are great. Been here off and on over the years however this will be my last time going. the last 3 times I have gone to this location I have gotten severe food poisoning

El Ranchero Mexican Restuarant is excellent, especially for my first visit. I love mexican cuisine. The food was very hot and delicious. The atmosphere was very good. I recommend this facility to anyone who loves Mexican food. Happy dining.

You really have to get the cheese dip. You’ll want to ask for ‘chee dip’. They’ll know what you mean. This is the best Mexican restaurant in n the area. Muy bueno!!

The place is a little bit raggedy, but the food is good. They have a great chicken soup, and the service is good. I wanted to return Saturday on 4th of July, but they weren’t open, however, in google search they appeared to be operating. I was disappointed. I have to try it again some other day.

Was super excited to pick up my to go order tonight! When I got there, I waited for the guest in front of me to complete her transaction. Once completed the employee stepped away without saying anything. I stood at the counter for 10 mins without any acknowledgement what so ever. I watched employees walk past me, clean tables and even stop to greet guest walking into the restaurant. Seriously?!?!My last straw was when a sever came behind the counter....so here I am like finally some service. But NO he gets something and walks off without saying anything.Worst customer service I've ever received in my life! So disappointing, left without my food and will not be returning!

We love El Ranchero. Great food & very reasonable. We gone here since they opened, way back. Never had a bad meal, & service is always good.

I have been coming here for 15 years. It became my favorite restaurant. Recently my Nephew and his girlfriend visited and i treated them to dinner here. They absolutely loved it. Great food, great service, nice comfortable atmosphere. Very family friendly

I love coming here.. the food, CS, and prices are great.. you get free chips and salsa while you wait on your food and it's a nice place to relax too. Very friendly staff and just all around great place

El Ranchero is a fine Mexican restaurant. The interior is a bit rough. The food is alright to good. But it is very affordable, the service is fast and friendly. This isn't the best restaurant ever, but it's fine and convenient. A group of us from my work enjoy going here for lunch occasionally.

Great Mexican flavors at a great price. If you like it spicy be sure to ask for their homemade spicy picante. Every combination you might imagine is available on the menu. Try your favorite! Also a decent menu of Tequilas if that is to your liking.

The homemade chicken soup is the best that can be found anywhere.

I’ve passed this spot for years and finally decided to go in. Glad I did. The food was good, service was good, and price was great! It’s a small spot that looks like they hadn’t remodeled since it opened- I loved it! If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! I liked the vibe and they had live music Friday day which was great.

This place was awesome. Ton of food, the server kept the chips and salsa flowing, home made hot sauce, and it all only cost me like 11 bucks.

Food was awfully sad looking, was poorly made, mediocre tasting at best, and service was terrible. I’d give one star but the food and especially the drinks were cheap so at least the price was ok.

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, this is the place to be! Everything we ordered tasted great. The service was also very good and the prices are reasonable.

El Ranchero is a cozy Mexican restaurant literally 2 minutes from my college campus (KSU Marietta) so I have swung by this location many times for grub! They have great chips, solid cheese dip, and I love their combo meals. I have tried several different items from the menu and they are always TASTY! If you want to try some tasty Mexican food, you should give this a try!

Best authentic Mexican spot in Marietta, the staff have become family to us and the food is always on point! Never had any problems, always felt like I was eating at the owners house with the hospitality, quick service and amazing food. My wife is from Leon, Mexico and love the food here. I don’t recommend any other place!

Food portions were less than desirable compared to price you pay, if I wanted to pay $10 for a piece of food the size of a child’s palm, I’d definitely go to a upper scale restaurant. Service is a bit slow and not all that attentive. Margarita was over priced for watered down tequila

I wasn’t pleased at ALL... We walked in and just stood at the door for about a minute looking clueless. Nobody acknowledged us or advised us if we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. After sitting at the table for at least 5 minutes & not receiving any service, we left. I won’t be making that mistake again

Fantastic, authentic food. I brought my friends here and just had an absolute blast. The Margaritas were great, the chicken was great and everything is well priced. Like I said before, just plain Fantastic.

I go for the lunch menu quite frequently! The service is awesome and you can get out of there for about 7 dollars, fat and happy! Plus free chips and salsa and they are by no means stingy with the salsa....just wait till you see the bowl

First restaurant that I've been to while in GA. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant and I would tell you why. The waiter and waitresses were rude. When we wanted to order our drinks, the waiter only asked one person and then he took off. He didn't ask any of us. Second, it took forever for our food to get to us. Third, when they bought out the food, there was a big thumb print in the beans. 5 minutes later, she came back and took it. Overall we felt like we were rushed.

I love El Ranchero. I haven't been often, because my wife doesn't like Mexican food, but each time I go is a great experience. The food is also prepared well, and tastes fresh. It's hard to go to Taco Bell after having real Mexican cuisine. The servers are friendly and attentive, and because it's a small place, there isn't a lot of noise from several dozen conversations fighting to be heard over one another. I first ate at El Ranchero in 1992, and ever since, it's always been a pleasure to go there.

Going down quickly. Used to enjoy this place when I was in College. Recently the service is very slow. Food is still ok. Issues with Credit Card machine not working twice. Waiting forever after asking for a check. 25 plus year customer not returning.

Good prices for Good food,, Great Mixed Drinks,,, cozy place,, friendly staff. Steak was overcooked,, shredded chicken was bland . I'll probably come back.

The Ranch as it is known to many Kennesaw State University Marietta students is a wonderful place to enjoy a meal and a margarita. The staff are amazing and make anyone feel like they have a second home at the Ranch. Many birthdays and celebratory nights start at the Ranch to make sure the night starts off right.

Let me tell You! This restaurant RIGHT here will have you thinking you are in Mexico!! Literally! Everything is made fresh when you order! Arnetso is the best! He is always pleasant and friendly and goes above and beyond! The staff is friendly as well!! And they remember my oder! LOL!! Yep... I go often!! Oh, and they have to Me the best frozen margaritas!!
